More than meets the eye...
I've decided to abandon my Transformers icons.
I mentioned else where in the forum, that if I came to this conclusion, that I would post them in case someone else might be able to use them. These icons do not follow the usual usage of my work, b/c I am not the copyright holder for these characters or their likenesses, Hasbro is. So, this is fanart, and is for personal use only. You can't make money off of these or use them in a way that harms others (i.e. violates someones rights). If at any time, Hasbro or one of it's representatives asks you to stop using/displaying these images, you must comply immediately. Blah, blah, blah... Without further ado, the completed icons: |

For the legal, uh, crap, please see the first post in this thread.
Here are all of the unfinished icons, which may be useful to someone, though less useful than the ones above. |

Re: More than meets the eye...
Why did I abandon the Transformers? Thanks for asking. I haven't. I have just abandoned this art. When I started working on this project, it was to stand alone outside of all other DC projects, so the scale for the icons is way off. Now, I'm going to start over and make new art that is to scale with the rest of my stuff...because you never know when some weird portal is going to open up and and your trusty paladin will have to fight a Decepticon. Or, maybe your trusty Autobot hero will find themself facing a dragon...you just never know.

Pretty cool, Manikus
How did you make the action poses for them? Did you use 3D software for Transformers, too? (If you want to use these icons for a "crossover," you could just say that everyone in the Transformers universe just happens to be really small, or maybe they are Transformer minimals )

Re: More than meets the eye...
For the action poses - I have a model of Optimus, so I did that in 3D, but all the rest were just me.
I've been toying with resizing them and fixing the art, but I think it might be easier to start over. |

Cool - really looks like the old Transformers I remember (and loved as a kid) Optimus having a 3D model might make it easier for you to make the "to-scale" version
Resizing non-3D stuff of course takes a lot of work, so yeah, it might be better to start over...

Re: More than meets the eye...
I've been watching some Transformers today (extras for the new movie), so maybe I'll work on Optimus sooner than I had originally planned.
