Agreed!

I'd imagine you would also enjoy Rainbow - Richie Blackmoor's 'side project' that evolved into another very good band.

Cyril, who in your opinion was the best Rainbow vocalist - Dio, Bonnett or Turner?

I liked Dio best as a vocalist, but my favorite album is Difficult to Cure which had Joe Lynn Turner - his voice isn't as good, but I like the songs more on that one.

Well, far too young to be listening to the music that I do.
(I got hooked much younger on good music by my older brother and when I have drum lessons, I often drum along to a good old bit of Deep Purple, along with others like Status Quo, White Snake etc. )

P.S Great thread Tiamat!!
Ahhh OK! You don't have to say I'm 31 so about the right age for it I suppose!

It's cool that you play drums! I play bass - but I'm a bit out of practice at the moment, all my calluses have gone so it will hurt when I start again Hehe... I once had a bleeding finger all through a gig - but didn't notice until I saw the blood on my guitar after - the adrenalin completely takes over

Epona, I can't really even think of Rainbow without hearing Dio's vocals in the back of my mind. *LOL*

My favorite album, however, was Finyl Vinyl which had a great mixture of the bands line-ups on it. I especially enjoyed being able to listen to both Turner and Dio on the same disc.

Ohhh, alright I give in Well, I'm 15, and 16 this September, but I've liked this music since... well as long as I've liked music really, and I've been drumming for about 6 and a half years now.
Ohh, the nostalgia is so very overpowering.

OKAY ...ehmm.........

I'm 35, and will turn 36 in two months...

I have played in a C/W - bluegrass band since I was 10............ I play 14 instruments.
But my favorite is the dobro. But I like alot of different music.

Best - Garth Brooks, Bill Monroe, Hank Williams (Sr.), Patsy Cline, Dixie Chicks, Shedaisy......
LinkenPark, Seal, 98 degrees, Nickelback, ACDC, Journey, Steve Miller Band, Black Oak Arkansas, Fleetwood Mac...........etc.

Worst - Brittany, NSync, BAckStreet Boys, rap music (no offense, I just don't like it), etc.
