Ok, I need tips on the end game. I have Me (paly), the New NPC (not spoiling everything, plus can't think how to spell his name), Jaheria, Imoen, Nalia, and Aerie. Getting me arse kicked with the Last Chicke-boo. I've tried conjuring friends to help, but her guys seem to kill mine quickly, and my patented time-stop many spell trick basically gave her a free pass to kick my ass (really bad when she casts one directly afterwards, huh) so I'm looking for some tips. Thanks

BK

Do you have spell triggers, spell sequencers and contingencies on Imoen, Nalia and Aerie? (this is especially good with Aerie who can also use cleric spells in contingencies.) You could set these with spell removals and lower resistances. Each lady should use theirs at different times in the fight.

Don't focus on the beings she conjures to aid her, focus everything on her.

Don't waste a 9th level spell slot on Timestop (this is assuming your mages can memorize 9ths,) memorize another powerful spell.

Conjure lots of help, and keep many defensive spells memorized to rebuf during the fight - it's long!

Use all potions, scrolls, high level spells and special abilities (greater whirlwind and critical strike are good here.)

Hope some of this helps.

Throw all your fighters at her, using greater whirlwind and the like, with the occasional breach whenever she0 casts stoneskin.

Also, set traps! (though Imoen and Nalia aren't quite so good for this i'll admit )

Well your fighters w/ Greater Whirlwind (hopefully you have 5 or 6) should be able to dish it out quick to advance it. However, the most untalked of skill Hardiness is great to use. I had my guys memorize two, and w/ the priest spell Armor of Faith (5% dam reduced / 5 lvls) you can make your guys immune to damage. Period. Its great. When she summones up the Shadow Slayers, make sure you're ready w/ that kinda ability, else they can mow you down in short order. As soon as the summons are killed take her out. The second fight i think is the worst, primarily because 5-6 summons just pop up. After that she can only raise one or two. Focus on killing her summons off, then pummel her. All of my strategies are melee oriented, but i hope it helps.

My main grouse is that your party cannot rest.

Anyhoo, laying some traps on her spawning spot is a great idea, especially Spike Traps. Spread out their usage though, you have to fight her three more times after the initial fight.

If you have, use Smite to knock away the summons, heh heh, VERY nice skill. Also, Skeleton Warriors are, believe it or not, amazing against her because of their innate magical resistance, LOL, let her waste her spells on them.

Devas are good too, as are Aerial Servants, always maintain as many summons as you can. Breach is not a necessity, Greater Whirlwind will rip through Stoneskins like nobody's business.

As mentioned earlier, Hardiness is a great skill too.

My Party was, Robin Hood, who used Smite to push( and boy do I mean push) away Melissan's summons. John Little, who hacked her with Greater Whirlwind and Hardiness on, using his Staff of Rynn. Will Scarlett, who had 8 normal traps and 7 Spike Traps, used his throwable Firetooth Dagger. Friar Tuck was busy healing and summoning, Maid Marion was hurling spells and Aerie was summoning and casting too.

Oh, you might want to personally control your spell-casters, to avoid spell wastage. Remember, you cannot rest to get back spells.

Summonings should distract the things SHE summons as her spear can instantly waste low-level summons anyway - save a few biggy summons for the last fight

About 2-3 Greater Whirlwinds per fight should take her down - you may not be able to rest ,but pass around regenerating items to heal up between bouts

If you can summon angels these are handy as they can heal your PCs sometimes too
