How to beat Irenicus? *SPOILER*

Have you guys got any tip, I am in spellhold. It goes fine until he cast that darn Cloud Kill.

Just cast haste on your party, cast breach on him and then just charge him.

I just charged him w/ everyone I got. The mages that I released from their cell took care of the magic part. Jahiera and Aerie cast healing spells and Mazzy shot at Irenicus w/ her short bow. Irenicus can't do very much damage if he can't get a spell off.

im usaly high level when im there so i cast power word silence on his ass. he will vocalize after a wile but by that time hel be really hurt.
and he doesnt cast cloukill its called "abidazim horrid wilthing" and does 1-8
damge per level of the caster. and hes level 29.

If your only problem is the cloudkill spell, I would suggest you let someone memorize "zone of sweet air". If you cast it just beyond the edge of the cloudkill, your casting won't get interrupted and the spell will be dispelled after one or two rounds.
This won't stop the spell from killing summoned creatures though, so I would suggest you wait with the summoning till after Irenicus casts the cluodkill. Good Luck!

it could be, since the manual says zone of sweet air can be used to counter spells LIKE cloudkill.... or maybe im wrong...

my party were lvl 12-10 beating him

heh spell sequenzor 3 mages shotted 9 magic missiles before he even got his defences up straight to near death

Yes, on cloudkill works zone of sweet air, but Irencius cast Abi Dazim's horid willting.
I use on Jon Jaheiras spell summon insect, he can't cast spells...

Zone of sweet air removes ANY cloud area of affect spell which does include Abi Dazim's horrid willting. It just uses cloudkill as an example because its the one used the most.
