Hello all,
Admittedly I'm fairly new to iII, but I have some questions none the less... I have in my party; 1. A cleric of fourth level that still can not cast 1st level spells? 2. A mage of 3rd level that still can not cast 1st level spells? 3. A ranger of 9th level that can not cast any spells? 4. What the @#$% do the red numbers, in the upper left quadrent of my screen mean? (They appeared in the drider cave during the final battle there.) The mage and cleric are dual class, but this shouldn't matter should it? Any insight would be appreciated... love and light, Gabrielelohim. |

"1. A cleric of fourth level that still can not cast 1st level spells?"
Does he have at least an 11 Wis? "2. A mage of 3rd level that still can not cast 1st level spells?" Does he have at least an 11 Int? "3. A ranger of 9th level that can not cast any spells?" Also needs at least an 11 Wis. Basically for cleric/druid/ranger/pally spells, to cast them at a certain level your wis has to be 10 + the level of the spell; same for arcane spells, but you use Int instead of Wis (although the Sorcerer uses Cha).

ability scores in red mean that they have been reduced by some effect (spell, item ...) ability scores in yellow mean that they have been enhanced.
