600x1200 dpi is adequate for most purposes. To put that in perspective, an 8x11 page scanned at 600 dpi would be an image 4800x7700 in size - thats way too large for displaying on just about any computer screen. 150 (or 300 if you're scanning something small) is much more reasonable for graphics being displayed on a website or somesuch.

High resolution is useful for scanning small stuff though.

Ok, this my last question.. (honest )

There are two scanners which I am considering...

CanoScan LiDE 20 $149 AUD ($88 USD)

OR

CanoScan D1250U2 $179 AUD ($105 USD)

Which one is the better for what I want to use it for? (scanning drawings for making online comics and coloured art and maby scanning the odd photo)
