If I'm right, the first EVER horror movie I saw was Steven King's IT. Jeepers. That movie makes me shudder.

Not all that scary NOW, but Poltergeist really tripped me out. Then again I was what 7 ... 8? As for fav that I thought was scary - A Nightmare on Elmstreet (the origional).

Poltergeist 1 is still scary. As is Poltergeist 3. #2 blew, but 1 and especially 3 were scary as godawful hell.

Poltergeist here was scariest for me, first watched it when I was about 5 or so, I was scared of that religious guy for years after, the travelling preacher. He just looked creeeeepy

Charley and the Chocolate Factory is the scariest horror movie of all time. The Oompa Loompas frightened the living shite out of me when I watched that film as a kid.

We had Co at the time I saw Poltergeist and had to stay in my brother's room. I did NOT like his closet door. I was much comforteder when they left and I got my own bed back. (yes that was intentionaleder)

Think Friday the 13th was among them, as well as Evil Dead, but Jaws takes the cake in my opinion...
