I haven't kept in touch with this series featuring the Has Beens vs the Also Rans...have the Poms caught up with the Windies, or are they still labouring to get to what really is a soft first innings target?

Yeah, well done! As I said before, they occasionally pull one out of the bag. What's the bet though that they come crashing back to earth in the next test though?

Setting themselves up before the inevitable ashes fall. But well done England, maybe we wont mention the Sabrina park 94 game now!

Joking aside I was actually very impressed. If Vaughn can reclaim his form and Jones and Hoggard can back harmisson up, we should be up for a good Ashes series (for once)

Oh and hats off to S.Africa's J.kallis as well.

I think your getting a little ahead of yourself there Wellard. Lets see how they cope with the rest of the series before we make brash decisions that they might actually give us a game!!

Harmison is an ordinary bowler who caught the WI's on a truely bad day. I can guarantee that mister Harmison will show his true colours before the end of the series. In the fantasycricket over here last year he rated as a 4 with 1 being the highest. During the season last year he proved to be just that. Average. Vaughan is so erratic nothing is guaranteed with him either. The only player that I rate in the England team is "Freddy" Flintoff! If he can stay injury free, this bloke can turn a game on it's head regularly. Perhaps I should mention Butcher as well, as he has a bit of fire about him.

Cricket is all about consistency. England just don't have it.
