resurection question

Ok Imoen died and when I went to the temple to resurect her it wouldnt work. I paid but she never showed up? Is there anything to fix this?

I think it's probably because she has low constitution. at easy level, resurection is guarenteed (I think), but on higher difficulty the chance of a successful resurection gets higher with better with higher con. Try reloading a saved game and trying it again. if it doesn't...reload a saved game from before she died.
ps. if a character takes a *lot* of damage they actually explode and then they can never be resurected. the difference is if her portrait is grey, she's just dead. If her portrait is gone, it's permanent

If Imoen had died permanently, he wouldn't have been able to pay the Cleric to Raise her. (Unless, of course, he doesn't yet know the difference between just Donating money to a Temple, and actually buying their services, which is possible.)

This has happened to me as well, lucius: In BG2, I paid for a Resurrection (which is a Raise Dead plus a complete Healing), but the Priest only Raised my guy, leaving him stuck at 1 HP. To exact vengeance, I smacked the Priest around a bit and then Reloaded.

She is not dead perminatly and when I pay to resurect her it makes the spell nose and then nothing happens

You could have made the same mistake that I did the other day:

When I 'bought' a raise dead from a temple, I forgot to highlight my dead character first. The only thing that happended was that I lost 500GP.

I've had the same thing happen to Jaheira in BG1 and Nalia in BG2. Apparently there's some sort of "system shock" roll behind the scenes. If they fail that, then they're gone forever.

there's something else that might have happened. it happened once to me, i paid the guy to raise the dead, spell noises, money disappeared but for some reason he wasn't in the temple. i found him outside quite a distance away, no idea why, wasn't even where he died.
anyone else had this happen?
