Somebody here might have noticed if they have read my threads in the past. I have this computer problem again everytime at startup. The message is something like(if i remember correctly):

-------------------------
DW

error loading DW.exe
DW will now close.

-------------------------

The message prompts the user to press ok, after that, nothing critical really happens. But the message is rather annoying, as it pops up everytime, and i'd like to get rid of it. Anyone have any ideas?Thank u for helping.

Is it a Windows error or a DOS error?

I hope that it's only a windows problem and not a worm or virus. I now that the KLEZ virus is rearing it's head the last few weeks. It doesn't sound like that one though but it could be another one. Check your machine to be sure.

Go to Start then Run.

Then type in msconfig and click ok.

Look at the last tab StartUp.

See if there are any lines there with DW.exe. Click on the box next to it to disable it, then click OK and restart.

See if you still get the error message.

If you have a Virusscan type program..you should update and run it, too.

Thanks guys(especially you------->skywalker)i managed to delete it in the registry. But i have one more question to ask you guys: i have norton antivirus installed in my computer when i first bought it, but the virus definition was about 2 years old, i downloaded the latest update svailable from Symantec, right? But the package doesn't let me update because it says that my update service for virus protection has been expired? Is it a necessity to renew it?
