Here's a free NPC for you.Esme Flowerbun is a cheerful little halfling who can often be found on
street corners, a tray of buns, cakes, pasties and pies slung around her
neck on a broad ribbon. Each of her pieces of confectionary is marked with
various floral designs to distinguish them from one another. She is never
short of customers (rather like the flower vendors who'se thugs don't wreck
your shop if you pay up for a bunch of flowers a la protection money) who
try not to draw attention to themselves. She enjoys chatting with her
customers (although this is generally for information gathering purposes)
and will often press a spare pasty or two upon them (though never for free).
Those who buy her products are either fools or wish to bypass various
security measures for each of her wares carries varying ammounts of
sedatives from the mild stuff that has a three day after effect (vomiting,
head aches, diahorrea) to the truly subtle (fourty eight hours rest
accompanied by pleasant dreams and with no taste or odour present). The
various products are identified by the different floral designs that grace
the pastry but Esme has not initiated anyone into her coding system. She
keeps a few non soporific goods in case an innocent bystander sees her tray
and desires a snack (she will endeavour to dissuade them from purchasing any
of the more potent wares). Esme knows most of the local rogues and con men
and as such can see an innocent customer comming and prepare herself.
