In the paper recently I read that a poll in England named Robbie Williams as the most influential person in music. I have two questions.
1-Who do you think is the most influential person/group in music? 2-What do you think is the greatest song of all time? I think the most influential group of all time is The Beatles and the greatest song of all time is Hotel California by The Eagles. |

1. I was going to say the Beatles, but then I saw Beethoven...now I can't make up my mind lol.
2. "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin...the #1 song on top ten countdowns for decades and the influence of many a guitar player. These are great questions Gazza! |

For me it must be! "The long and winding road" with The Beatles!!! The song is on the "Let it be" cd.
And The Beatles is the best band! [ 06-15-2002, 01:36 AM: Message edited by: Megabot ] |

Technically speaking, the most influential popband ever would have to be the Beatles... Even though for the music genres I often listen to I guess Pavement and Sonic Youth can be added to that list as well.
As for best song ever... Hmm, I often change my mind about that one. Sonic Youth's Sunday is an option, Motorpsycho's The Nerve Tattoo and Pinback's June as well... Kinda depends on my mood I think.
