Hey everone im stuck in that mind flayer city. I helped Simyaz and his gang escape and they say they will return in force to help me but never did so then i put the circlet on a mind flayer so he opens the door then a little futher on i found another door that says" A mere mortal may not open this door"
so i tried another circlet on a diiferent mind flayer and got him to walk near the door like the last one but it didn't work is there something im doing wrong? i need to destroy the elder brain so i can escape but can't get to it ------------+ Sir Frances Drake ------------+ |

You might have put the circlet on a ilithid, which doesn't work, it must be on a mind flayer. Also, if that doesn't work you could turn into the slayer, which will open the door.

theres an infinitly respawing mind-flayer i a room with blood pools (IIRC anyway) to the east, useful if you happened to kill all of the other ones.
