lol decent, tryina be clever, but failed
Dumbass does not refer to the animal.
Dumbass comes from ebonics, where an individual is often referred to by talking about his ass.
e.g.
"get your ass over here" instead of "get over here"
"your ass is stupid" instead of "you are stupid"
hence "you're a dumbass" instead of "you are a dumb person"

My my, how the snips fly!

I say America is different from the rest of the world because in the rest of the world, you have places for people A and places for people B. In America, people A must learn to live beside people B, now more than ever.

We're multicultural.

Now, as far as why we're so politically different...there's DEFINITELY a strong tradition of independence, of not relying on anyone else, and not letting anyone exert control upon us.

You've got it all wrong, Vask. The story is as follows:

In southern Louisiana, two fishermen were spending their early morning on the lake, fishing, as they always did. Lazy as they were (it was a sunny Sunday), they left their rods alone to take a well-deserved nap. All of the sudden, a huge bass jumps in the boat, and starts flopping all over the place. The two fishermen decide that it's too early to actually catch a fish and throw it back in.
"Thatter was one giddy good deed, ther' Earl", the one said.
"Well cranky, yeah, Amos, it sure was," the other said. "Now lettus get a nap, whil' them fishens nibble on them worms!"
And so they did. They lay down in the boat once more, placed their hats over their eyes, and started counting large basses.
All of the sudden, another large bass jumps in the boat. Just as the one before, it starts flopping and jumping all over the place, flapping its tail in Earls face until he wakes up.
"Well giddy-up, Amos! Look at this're! It's that same bass that was in this very ol' boat jus'sum minutes ago!" Earl exclamed.
"Y'know, Earl," Amos said," that's one dumb bass."

~~~~~
So now you know the etymological history of the word "dumbass".
.. And yeah, I've got nothing to do at the moment
Hey Decent,
Thats fine if you disagree with government policy- many Americans do. Just be careful how and where you express this disagreement. Words can be misconstrued and misunderstood, particulary when making broad generalizations and using alot of hyperbole. As you can see from the reactions to your posts.
Goto the CE forum if you wanna bitch about government policy. Maybe an intersting discussion will arise from it.
Yeah,
But I did not know the Webmaster is an american. And now that i know, U tell me .. Should i start Buttering by saying USA is the BEST, When in reality i said what i felt.
It's just the way you said it. If you dislike our leaders, fine, but saying you hate our entire Country is just wrong. It's an attack on all american people in a way. And part of a rule.
