I have a weird problem wich occured when I got home from school. I tried to check my mail but I got the "failed to connect" message. I tought that it was temporary but the error is still there. So now I'm using Outlook again but I would really like to get back to Thunderbird. Any tips how to solve the problem?

Doublecheck your connection settings to make sure they're correct. Then check your firewall to make sure you're not preventing it from going out.
Leastways, that's my first pair of thoughts

What have you changed recently?
Did you have to set up the account Outlook from scratch, or did you use existing settings in there? What, if any, Thunderbird extensions are you using? |

Funny thing is, I was also unable to connect to my e-mail pop3 server from Triad Roadrunner Cable yesterday. I called the tech support to report it, and he responded that their e-mail server had a problem and that was why I could connect to the net, but not the e-mail. In other words, it might not be your problem.
I always blame the other guy first! You should learn that trait!

Well I tried. But to no avail. I still get the "connection timed out" message.
