In the deep gnome village, there is talk of a stash of boots and scrolls that allow for levitation, giving a route to Nym's home. Is this possible? If so, where is the stash? Or are those little hairy guys lying to me? If so, I may need to do some de-gnoming (evil laugh).

Edit: I have already beaten the game, so dont worry about spoiling whats to happen next

Oooh... messing with me, are they? silly little gnomes. They don't know what they're messing with!

Heh. time for some accidental fireballs exploding a tad close to poor, innocent svirneblin.

This is a well-known red herring. Best bet is that the game designers were going to put in a side quest but didn't. The dialogue remains, but there's nothing to it.

If you're going to kill off svirfnebli (for shame!) just make sure you do their quests first, otherwise they won't talk to you.
