Robe of vecna

Should or Should i not get the robe of vecna in my first game,
(well the first game il end anyway)

it sounds real cool but also a bit overkill ,,,

it is not overpowerd I think, it is indeed the most powerfull armor/robe a mage can get in the game... but you need serious cash to get him.. or if you have TDD installed you can get it from a particular treasure chest in one of the few dungeons

it is ofcorse your opionen if it is overpowerd... I always use it... it's a really good item... use it and see why people all talk about it

yea i just decided to buy it....i dunno it just felt a bit like cheating,
especially in combination with improved alicrity

Believe me, it isn't cheating-cheating is when every mage in your party has the robe of vecna and amulet of power

Cheating can be great fun though. Witness my 40th level, chaotic neutral sorceror. Cheated to a high level, and given a truckload of spells, and many wonderful items, he decided to bring Athkatla to it's knees, and consequently took out; the cowled Wizards, the shadows theives, every temple, the Order of the Radiant heart, the twisted rune, and the docks district. Every living being there fell to my spells. Great for, for an afternoon or so.

Oh and the robe of vecna is great. With improved alacrity you will spew out spells like a machinegun. Most thinliving things dont see the end of a timestop combined with improved alacrity and the robe of vecna [img]smile.gif[/img]
