There, there, little Nebbikins, did the bad ol' Austria bore 'ooo (rubs neck). Why did you have to go? Family duties? My relatives oppressed me sorely when I was your age. Have some more cocoa. (pours some)

Regin, we only were there one day, since our friends live in Uppsala. I thought it a beautiful city, all those islands. We visited the Old City, I believe it is called the Gamla Stan(sp?), the gorgeous castle, Parliament. They wanted us to go to the amusement park, but we didn't have time. We went to an exhibit about Queen Christina. She was quite a character, wasn't she? Saw a statue of Gustavus Adolphus. High point for me was walking down the street with my friiend and her sister. We (the sister and I), are very blonde, and this nice gentleman actually came up to us and started speaking to us in Swedish! Neither of us understood more than a couple of words, but my friend, Mercedes, who is married to a Swedish Ob-Gyn doctor, answered. She wouldn't tell us what he wanted, and I have wondered till this day.
Neb, who are you wanting to hit. Not me, I hope. Does this have something to do with Austria?

Sounds nice, only I have no idea who Queen Christina is
Our present queen is Silvia, so it's not her
Well well, yes Gamla Stan is nice, only us swedes can't go their anymore because of all the tourists, on weekends it's always packed with germans and japanese
And if your blonde in sweden, you'll have many men around you
Including me
Oh and his name is "Gustav Adolf", Gustavus Adolphus was his latin name
Well, nice to hear you liked it

Regin, we really had a wonderful time. Cloudy, you really should. The reditabs will be available indefinitely, but they say (they always do) that this is a great advance. My husband is putting a lot of his sinus patients on Clarinex, so, we'll see.

Yes, it bored me, it bored me VERY BADLY, glad to be back again.

And I had to go because my family didn't believe that I could take care of myself, didn't trust me to go to school, manage to get food or get to bed on time if they weren't there.

I can't wait to get away from home and my horrible family.

*sips cocoa* Thank you Galadria.

Ah, yes, the eternal "we're going so you have to go, too." (sighs)Many are the cheerless afternoons I spent in my icky grandfather's house, with nothing to read, no television, no music, and my gargoyle maternal relatives just waiting for a lapse on my part for a vicious attack. "You're a spoilt child." rings in my mental ears when I even think of those terrible times. I commiserate.

I KNOW that feeling..... Having to visit and old half-blind, half-deaf great-grandmother isn't really fun, I usually brought a book and then said I'd go have a look at her garden, found some secluded spot and sat down to read until my parents called me and said it was time to go home.

Ah, but my parents wouldn't even let me bring a book.. Said it showed disrespect for my grandfather. Oh, well, neither of us is there any more. Alas, I have to go take my stepson someplace. Try to have a better day. Whew, they killed me at the office, 40 patients. Everybody's got the 'flu. I gotta go. See you.
