That was a fun fight!!

SPOILER????

Put a missile weapon on every character, with plenty of ammo. Cast haste, and use the doorway they come out of as a choke point. Throw a web and a stinking cloud into it to slow their approach, and concentrate all your fire on one at a time to quickly reduce the numbers. Note that you will need magical ammo to hit Yxonomei, but it's best to take her out at a distance, as she hits hard and often. She'll reduce your best fighters to piles of quivering, bloody pulp in seconds. And she'll wade through your web, stinking cloud, and just about any other spell with ease.

i used a similar tactic.... but instead I used entangle and spike growth and stone spikes and tossed two fireballs. When yuxomeni came out i preffered using melle weapons and throwing axe +2.... my druid was behind my paladin and cast 'heal' when his health got too low..

While it's true that Yuxonomei is HIGHLY magic resistant, her cronies are NOT. Try dumping a web on EACH side of her throne to catch the yuan-ti archers stationed there. Then follow that up with spike stone or spike growth, and a fire ball. Top that off with two cloudkills if you have them. Your goal should be to take out or weaken as many of those pesky archers and shaman as you can.

Watch out behind you. THere is usually a group of yuan-ti mages who appear in the corridor to cut off your retreat. Use summoned monsters to take care of them.

Save some protective spells. One of the first thing that Yuxonomei does is cast dispel magic on your group. Keep a haste spell in reserve. Also try to keep your cleric out of harms way. Make sure that you have a sanctuary spell or two in reserve. Use your cleric as a roving ambulance to HEAL those characters who are taking the brunt of Yuxonomei's attacks - but be careful. Yuxonomei switched her attacks to my cleric as the cleric was trying to heal the fighter Yux was currently engaged with.

Yuxonomei requires +3 weapons to hit and is impervious to almost all magic spells. One cheese is to cast MAGIC RESISTANCE on her - it will LOWER her magic resistance.

I think I'm going to have to try that, Micah... My solo lunatic isn't too far from her right now, and I know that fight is going to be HARD with only one guy.

Actually you need +2 or better, not +3. Its easy if you have the druid spell moonblade, it makes a +5 sword, then use all the +2 arrow u find and the +2 throwing axe. it was quite easy for me, first she threw off a cloudkill in her main room, i had a cleric waiting at the doors to cast silence 15' radius which silenced her, and by the time they came out i had a web waiting which actually caught her in it which made her defensless. her cronies stayed in the main room an got hurt from her could, while my free action fighter walked up and beat the crap out of her while the rest casted and used ranged. she also got blinded from a chromatic orb which turned out good shes no problem at all when shes blinded, silenced, and held

Micah, you must play only on Fury mode. In the regular mode there's no mages that pop up behind you. At least not in my 4 experiences with this battle so far.

And it only takes a +2 to hit her. With the throwing axe and the arrows you've found, you should be able to take her out at a distance without her ever getting near you.

My plan of attack is to summon a few "helpers" of whatever type- hopefully strong enough to take a couple of hits at least. Open the door and send all of your summoned creatures to the edge of your vision. Right after they move, drop a web and entagle spell just on the other side of the doorway (don't enter the room!) Then have a character with a ring of free action walk through the door to trigger the talking, and as soon as it's done, back up through the door again. At the same time drop a spike stones spell or two on the sticky area. Your summoned creatures will take her initial spells and do battle with her and the priests, while the rest walk right into your little trap. Throwing a few spells on the others while your archers and axeman shoot away on her works quite effectively. Especially nice is that the spike stones hurt her in a big way if you place them right.

Oh, I also make sure that every single one of my chars has a ranged weapon capability- bows, xbows, or slings. Plus the throwing axe. That means you can take out the baddies in a big hurry with missles while they are trying to unload on your summoned friends. The last couple of fights I took maybe 2 arrow hits from the archers, and that was about it damage wise.
