Know Alignment

So has anyone noticed just how crazy alignments of NPCs can be? I assume it's a bug, but it's a comical bug.. For example, the High Mornmaster is evil, I remember a good ogre beserker (Who attacked me without provocation, naturally), the Weathermistress is neutral, and

The slaver Officer Dirth is good. Major Domo, who Nalia says is quite trustworthy, is evil.. But what does she know, I suppose. Feh, and when I did the paladin stronghold quest and attacked that guy when I was guarding the girl the Order superior chewed me out, saying that I should have noticed there was no evil in him.. Oh, well gee, I should go resurrect the slaver and go kill the High Priest of Lathander, then?

Yeah, people have some crazy Alignments. Its kinda confusing, and I guess BioWare just decided to screw around. But the [SPOILER] paladin dude IS evil, part of the quest.

If you mean the girl`s godfather; there is a 50/50 chance of him being evil, thus you HAVE to use the know allignment or detect evil spell to get it right.
