Don't worry, a lot of people, including myself, like BG2 a lot, but don't think it has the same "feel" as BG. The fact that the graphics are way outdated and the lack of NPCs (only a bit more than half the amount in BG) didn't help much either, but it's still a good game. Personally I like starting characters from lvl 1, instead of just jumping into high-level combat as well.

Well spoken Wrath, I don't particularly like either game more than the other for different reasons. However I do enjoy progressing through the first few levels before getting into the high powered stuff. In my opinion (for what it's worth) I noticed a trend in both games towards rediculously tough NPC's at the end of chapters or in encounters when compared to the average encounter (or even the NPC's minions). I didn't mind this much, it's just that in most of the published adventures (and reflected even more strongly in many of my own personal adventures) I have spotted more balanced NPC's and a larger threat from the monsters. This is not a dissapointment, merely an observation.
