I'm looking for answers from all of you Thief and/or Assassin type players...
I'm currently running through the game for the second time playing a Human Berserker. I fully intend to dual him to either a Thief or an Assassin at 9th or 10th level. So...which do I choose. From what I can tell, the assassin gets +1 "to hit" and damage along with the "poison weapon" ability...however, they get 10 less skill points per level. So, is the "poison weapon" ability really worth losing 10 skill points per level? Thanks! ------------------ Now where did I leave that doughnut?! |

In a word, no!
. Assuming your berserker has a high Strength, that damage will more than make up for the piffling poison damage that tickles people |

Hate to burst your bubble, but you cannot dual into a kit (i.e. assassin), legitly speaking, thief is your only option of the two you've said. You can, however, use Shadowkeeper to change your class to assassin, BUT if you do this you will no longer be a berserker since you can only have one kit.

Sorry to say this dude... you can't dual to a "kit" ie. you can become a thief after being a berserker but not an 'assassin'...sorry but :
i think that assassin is better if you like playing as a sneaky thief...you will have to sacrifice some skills but your backstab can go up to 7x damage at lvl 23 as well as the poison weapon...so, decide! Too bad assassins can't have two points in weapons like swashbucklers...and have a crappy stronghold but hey... still good! ------------------ Yes indeed... |

The thief has the single most powerful weapon in the game. Namely his snare/trap. Nobody but nobody can save against it. The 10 extra points alone would make me choose the thief....if only to add to this ability.

Personally, I'd choose a swahbuckler over a thief, but, like they said, you can't have more than 1 kit. DAMN!!

Shadowkeeper will allow you to duel into a kit.
