Whilst it is true that piracy can hurt the production of games I hate the holier than though attitude of people who rant and rave about it whilst listening to a tape of a CD they dont own or watching a video that they recorded and have never erased. Also the attitude of game companies that have closed down the rom sites for emulators of old consoles that are no longer available and will never sell another copy as the machines are obsolete. PC games become extinct very quickly, a few companies have released old games into the public domain and some make it to the cheap labels but others are almost unobtainable except on old pirate discs. I normally try out the demo`s and make my mind up there. W&W has no demo so I brought it on spec and for once did not regret it. If I play a game and like it I buy it. But I am sure we all have a few turkeys in our collection as well as a few pirate games that probally never see the light of day

Slip: Just turn on the spirit eye and dive at the dots when you get to the lost sea.
Others: Sheesh ... I bought a legal copy and haven't looked at the map yet. I have some pirated stuff, but my standard is that I don't buy sell or trade. And no company sells the nude raider hack of tomb raider. |
