I picked up the dwarf (korgan i think his name is) and he tells me that he is looking for some books in the cemetery district - in some kind of lower tombs. Now i have been here before in other games and know all that goes on in the cemetery (do not want to spoil anything here but we all know what I mean). Am I missing something? where are these lower tombs - are they the same as the ones for the other quest that takes palce in the cemetery or is there a door I'm missing

Thanks

You know where that spider nest is? Well, due south of that there is a door. Korgan's book is (supposedly - more on this during the quest) here in the southernmost passage, which ends in a tomb. Korgan will speak up when you get close.

Thanks I thought I had explored those caves well enough but must have missed something (although these new rooms may only become accessable with him in your party - I'm not sure.

Thanks again

pfft...and why should i listen to you?

more on topic:

i've actually found that the room with the giant egyptian picture (the first room you enter in the south) to be one of the most difficult in the game. I've only done it once,

turning undead probably wont help, because you're a low level when you get in there. And when you get confused, or frightened, your characters have a tendency to wander...oh say to the traps in the middle of the rooms, on the eyes and the mouth of the statue...and die. no fun at all. the level drains blow too.

Use summons to distract the undead...

And use Repulse Undead - this will push the undead away from the priest - so keep your folks close in for it to be effective.

And cast negative plane protection (level 4 priest spell) on everybody before going in.

Room related to Korgan is always there, but it misses somebody if Korgan himself isn't with you.

there are many areas like this in the game, where you can go there as many times as you want... but certain events will only happen if you have certain NPC's with you, or you have done certain quests. never think you've totally "done" an area if someone is telling you something is there but you didn't see it the first time.
