Hey
I've beaten SOA and TOB three times now, and I'm going to try soloing it for the first time with an elf fighter/mage. My question is, in Hell, the third trial where the demon steals a party member. What happens if you're soloing it (ie no party member to steal). Do you still have to lose the dex and exp?

The demon creates a peasant and yes you do lose the dex and xp.

the demon takes a random inoscent peasant so letting them die is no big deal, but unless you're evil it will change your alignment.

What I've always been annoyed by:

Your party consists of you and Korgan. Go through the doors on the right to kill the nastiest bit of filthy scum in the game--and you still turn Evil! I want an appeal! Where's my lawyer?

Abetted murder is still evil, no matter who the victim is.

Is there any way to turn back to neutral or good after turning evil?

You sow what you reap. The Nine Hells' consequences are irreversable save through cheating.

The only serious consequence is when you are a Paladin/Ranger, as the alignment change also means they become Fallen. Certain encounters will react differently too, since you are evil.
