There is a fairly famous NASCAR auto racer called Richard Trickle, who officially is named Dick. When I first heard about him, I thought I was being kidded. Well, he does exist and I'm amazed that his parents gave him Dick as a first name.

The only thing I hate about my name is that it is the same as my dad's (and grand-dad's but he's dead). As you can tell my dad's family believed in the noble ancient tradition of naming the first son after the father *groan* I keep asking them - did they not think of the annoyance this could cause when I got older i.e. now! Once my dad got paid for some lecturing and Ł800 (around $1200) got paid into my account instead of his - I wasn't complaining then I guess Then again the bank is at fault if they didn't even bother to check birth dates I mean are they gonna mix up John Smiths as well or something? Cos then we have a problem....
LUCKILY my dad is Dr. and I'm plain Mr. so where he choses to use his title they can tell the difference between us on post etc.

My name in one language is Nicotine, so people laughed at me and thought I did drugs.

I went to school with a Sřren Brun - which is the Danish name for Charlie Brown

Another name from the phone-book: Gunnar Ree - sounds just like Gonorrhea ( Gonoré in Danish) - parents can be so cluel

And just whose bright idea was it to shorten Richard to Dick. I keep dreading to see a theatre playing 'Dick the trird'

In High School I knew:
Parker Parker - whose parents had named him that
Rose Rose - married into that name
and....
Joy Bush

In college I knew a Robert Roberts, too.

Had a friend in High School last-named Lay. His name didn't make it snigger-funny, but the ideas he had for what to name his daughter were:
Penny Lay
Wanda Lay
Frita Lay

BUT, how did Mrs Foreman ever let George Foreman IX (that's right ... 9th!!) come into the world while George Foreman Sr was STILL LIVING?!?! The Foreman's have 9 children - 8 named George! Or why did the Munch's and the Head's ever name their respective sons ..... RICHARD?!?!? I'm not kidding on this one, I knew these two in college. This is some serious therapy that they are setting up. Maybe they like the Johnny Cash song "Man named Sue"?

This topic may sound like a George Carlin bit, but it's not. Real life is waaaaaayyyy more funny than schtick.

So, what other unfortunate names have people run into. Please don't use this for schtick .... I wanna know what people have run into in RL.
Actually they have 10 childern 9 of them boys all named george and a girl named (NO KIDDING) either Georgia or Georgina I cant remember which. Hey they are all millionaires though, I mean come on who doesnt own a grill?
