i'm currently re-running new games in MM7 and MM8. it's been so long since i last played, i wasn't even sure if they'd run on my system, but no problems so far.

MM7: i've had my castle upgraded 2X.
i'm winning my tavern arcomage challenges.
i've headed up through the clouds to the heavenly city of Celeste to start that whole part of the story.
i like it up there. the first time i played, however, i didn't know you could fall off the walkways and i fell aaaaaaalllll the way down to the earth's surface. *splat!*

my party's having too much fun. and yes. we're all drunk!

And all female party? never tried that before.

You can run mm6,mm7 and mm8 in winxp with mok's patch. In fact I've just finished mm8 few weeks ago.

Once I finish with Two Worlds I might try mm6 or mm7.

I've always been able to play it on XP without any patch at all.

If you're really good, you can cast feather fall while you plummet to the sands of Bracada from Celeste. Saves the *splat* effect

I'm replaying MM7 right now as well (go Arcomage!). Just chose the light side last night, and somehow I screwed up the peace option. I hate both the elves and humans, and try to make sure that *I* win when it's time for peace. Stupid humans won... glad I trashed Fort Riverstride. I wish I remember how I had to do it to gain my own independence...

Fun game in any case. It's amazing how often I'm looking at the clock going "Okay, it's 2AM... gotta get to bed..."

i'm not sure how it works. *sigh* it HAS been too long since i last played.
i did errands for both tularea and erathia and only have erathia's banner in my castle. i'm pretty sure that means that i'm their vassal. i think it's only when you have the blue/nwc banner that means you're your own kingdom.

i think what you do with the arbiter & the trumpet only decides whether you're good or bad, right?

and thanks for the reminder about feather fall... i totally forgot about being able to do that. dang! it's been long enough since my last playthru, that i feel like i'm playing it for the first time. again.

one last comment...

arco-mage.

i love it. i'll sit in every tavern and play game after game after game. but i've run into a glitch lately where i'll get doubles and triples on the same cards in one hand. and they're usually not in my favor.
oh well. i don't care. ima go and play another round of cards before portalling back up to celeste.

I can't believe no-one has ever made a mod for these.

full-blown mods cannot be made for the games thru mm8, as they used proprietary engines that were never released. mm9 uses the lithtech engine, so is moddable. iirc, klaravoia, flamestryke and others who have modding experience have only been able to edit the files for in-game items (weapons, armor, etc.).

oh yeah, how could i forget? if anyone liked arcomage, bones (from the TELP forums) is making it into a real-life card game. the finished files will be downloadable with directions on what size and weight card stock to use when printing them.

as soon as he gets them ready, i'll update you. unless, of course, you want to do it yourself:
TELP forums

just do a search for "arcomage".
