I never got very far (Stout Mines) but exactly when and how do you get the ability to Enchant Weapons? My Pixie Bard, Mitchell Has Artifact Of Stone I know that has something to do with it... please clarify.

I will try to explain

BLESSINGS are priestlike, ENCHANTS are magelike.

To enchant means to invoke a spell into the weapons - and i really donīt needed that in my 2 games

To BLESS a weapon means to power up this thing, like +Hit, +Damage, +Toughness....
The Char, that will BLESS the things, should know each of the artifacts spells, because every spell brings another blessing. Teh problem is, i do not know what spell is for what kind of blessing, i always had all spells available.

But Radek & Co. will help u more exactly

What you need to be able to bless/enchant an item are one skill, one trait and a spell. The spells you need are the artifact spells, i.e. Artifact of Stone. To bless an item you also need the trait cabalist, you get that from the priest guild at guild level 4. After getting that trait you will be able to train in the skill blessings. Say you have got a blessing skill of level 4, you can then add 4 blessings at the temple to any item. The number of blessings you can cast increase with skill level. To be able to enchant you need the trait occultist, get it from wizardīs guild at guild level 4 and the skill enchant.

When you got these stats above enter a temple to bless and the magic shoppe to enchant. There are buttons for enchanting/blessing items in those shops. A list of available items will appear. Click one and select spell and then bless/enchant away.

Yeah, wait for the exact spells u need for +damage & +hit, that are the most useful in the game. But u can learn them all, that is no prob for a (elven) priest.

From my perspective, the most valuable enchantments are the protections -- from fire, ice, and magic. Use those, and you can cast a firestorm on a flea in front of your nose and suffer nothing. I know. I've done it.

I don't like the weapon enchantments -- flamestrike and so on. If I'm going to cast those spells, I'll cast 'em myself -- I'll do more damage.

On the blessing side, I like armor, damage, and regeneration. I don't know if regeneration actually does anything or not, but it feels good to have it on. Armor definitely has an impact -- about 10% per blessing level. So bless your plate armor (AC 5.40) and you get quite a boost. Bless your bracers (AC 1) and you get a much smaller boost.

I protect my rings, bracers, and other small items, and try to armor up everything else (once I've gotten to 100% protection where I can). Weapons get max damage, since by the end, you hit almost all the time anyway. It's what you do when you hit that matters...

And of course, the biggest moneymaker in the game... bless that one single dragon arrow for as much damage as you can, and then hand it to an arrow-making ranger. You will have no more money woes...
