OOC: since leggy is not here, I will play his character for a while
Skye. The chilling wind blew your hair around, and the icyness was enchaned by the silvery light of the moon. Scanning around, there was no one but impenatreble darkness... Suddenly you heard footsteps, and gradually you saw a lil person appeared into view IC: "Hey, there you are!" The paladin regarded Skye curiously "are you not coming, fair lady? can you disapear like the other two just did? which was really impressive by the way, plus it would wait, get to the point come on, lets go. we should always stick to the formation as Sir Xivilo used to say" [ 09-21-2002, 10:17 AM: Message edited by: 250 ] |

Sennid Isdotter
Sennid watched the ranger's signals, asking her what they should do. She thought for a few seconds and then signaled to the ranger that she thought they should leave the "happy campers" alone. They didn't look like the sort of people that talked very much and the last thing she wanted to do was to get in a fight in a land she didn't know anything about. She waited for the ranger's response.. OOC: Are there any tents or something like that? |

There were a few tents about. Two were between you and the humanoids, they were set up in a way that you could see between the slops of the two. The tents were broken and stained, with some dark-red marks and grease. They had the heights just so enough one person, can crawl in and lay down. It semlt so nasty that the aweful smell would probally serve to keep insects away.

The big humanoid creature, tore free some of the meat while it was being cooked. He swallowed the meat hungrily and sucked his greasy fingers, then he gave a half-satisfied belch.
"We eat he?" asked one of the humanoids "Na, we sell!" the big orc replied, while he reached out for another piece of meat. The others looked at the half eaten animal longingly. he added as he was eating, "And no Ruv-son this time!" There was a moment of silence. "He skinny" one of the humanoids said "He no meat, no gins!" "So no Ruv-son!" the big creature roared, "he blackhearted, we sell others!" "Eat him, I says" the last humanoid insisted, oblivious to his bigger friend's growing scowl. "Ragnar says we need gold, so gold we get!" the big creature concluded the point with a furious snarl, and you saw he turned his head dangerously to his smaller associate. The smaller orc visibly shrinked, and you heard him struggling to move away from his now agitated companion. [ 09-21-2002, 12:43 PM: Message edited by: 250 ] |

OOC: Trying to decipher Orky talky is a brain drain.
Robin Clym "Ruv-som"? Did the Orc mean "Ransom"? From what they have been saying, it would appear that there was a captive among them. The captive seemed to be held in disdain by the Orcs too, since their leader referred to the captive as blackhearted, and there could more captives that they intended to sell. Robin pondered... ... Turning back was not an option now. He swore to protect the people, and it was an oath he shall keep, even if he had to die trying. Signalling back to Sennid, he instructed her to set up a trap behind the tent nearest to her and stay there. He would shoot at the big Orc and lure him towards the trap. When the Orc leader and the other Orcs pass by her, she can attack from the back, while he occupy them. |

OOC: I'd post, but I'm not sure where Ferji is and what he's doing. Is he still behind waiting for a reply from Skye or was the whole post rhetorical and are they near the camp now?
Also, he cannot read hand signals beyond "follow" and "stop", so he'd not know what the others were planning, let alone provide input himself that way. He's no fool, just not the brightest paladin around |

Sennid Isdotter
Sennid looked down at the ground and cursed under her breath. She KNEW Nature-boy would mean trouble, but she wasn't one to leave a team member behind, and definetly not in this place. She figured they needed everyone they could get.. She sneaked to the entrance of the nearest tent, where Robin had instructed and set a spike trap (OOC: Do you roll now 250, or what?) She looked behind her towards the others..she wondered if she should run and tell them what was going on, but she couldn't see anything, not even if they were there or not.. She decided to wait and see, if things started to get too hot, she would just escape in the shadows. OOC: I'm assuming the rest of the party are out of Sennid's seeind radius |

OOC: hey, leggy is back. well, if Ferji walked too close, he will risk being discovered by the orcs. assume that Skye and you are not too far behind the other two, there is no way anyone would remain a few miles behind his party in a wild place like this.
is everyone ready? any more preparations from the bard? btw, Regin, I've been rolling dices all along.... for example, when Robib heard Sennid's coming, that was his Listen roll beat her Sneak. It wasn't needed, just to add lil atmosphere. [ 09-23-2002, 05:07 PM: Message edited by: 250 ] |
