Animal, that's what we want to do, but we don't have the equipment to do it, so I want to make a copy of the tape that we can trot around to places to get a dvd made. Don't want to risk the only copy we have!
Thing is, my husband seems to feel we need to hook up two vcr's with some kind of digital connector? I haven't a clue, myself! Chewie, if you find out how to make copies/edit etc, let us know!

Cloudy, My sister recently converted all of her home videos from VHS to DVD.
She used our Dad's computer which has a DVD-R/W drive and his video card allows you to run the normal A/V cable from the VCR to the PC. I forget which software she used but I think it was something like DVD Creator- it came bundled with the video card when my Dad purchased it. If you dont have a PC with the right kind of video card or a DVD writer then I would inquire at places like camera/video shops to see if they provide such a service or know who does.

Chewy and Animal, thanks for all the advise on converting my video! I'll have to look into what I have.. I'm sure I have Nero on the rw drive! Hooking things to the vcr is the only thing I'm not sure of- it's a new combo thing for vhs and dvd but doesn't record dvd's.
