...What the hey, I start conversation threads occaisionally.
Last night, my friend the guitarist was over, and in rare form...he started singing of our group of friends to the tune of Maroon 5 songs while maintaining such a profane and offensive lyrical quality as to keep my other friend and I in uproarious laughter for nearly an hour... But, y'know...I'm tempted to believe that Tony's proclamation of "if I made up songs like that around anyone else, I [might start a fight]" is fairly close to home... Horray for being a young, overly-profane man when I want to be, despite my continued cultural growth.

Bloody oath Ilander!
talking about profanety, has anyone in the USA seen the new 'visit Australia' tourism advert on TV yet? If so do you find the term "where the bloody hell are you then" offensive? (hope I am not sabotageing your thread Illander)

Regarding your hijack, Wellard... the answer is no. "Bloody" does not have any of the same meanings here as it does elsewhere. So we're not bothered or offended at all (speaking for 220+ million of my countrymen and women, all of whom have been surveyed for this response ).

Naw, "where the bloody hell are you then," just kind of makes me giggle. I hear much worse on a day to day basis. I think, in fact, I live in the center of a giant sphere of vulgarity...
And the Tacomon is certainly randomly offensive [ 03-28-2006, 10:17 AM: Message edited by: Ilander ]

Ilander you red-neck hippy common farmer-ass ugly-rooster-holding, round-as-Vida-Guerra's-ass face-having, cheap filthy-white poncy-polo-neck-shirt wearing, goat-bum-fluff-like dirty beard-having, unoriginal haircut-demonstrating stupid pointless donkey thread starter!
How's that for randomly offensive? [ 03-28-2006, 02:37 PM: Message edited by: Vaskez ]

Why Vaskez, all you had to do was show up...why you put in the extra effort, I'm sure I don't know
