Robe of the good archmagi is good armor for the kensai mage. Besides that try: ring of protection +2; shield amulet (a must have); gaxx's ring +2 or ring of earth control +1; cloak of the sewers. That's about it.

To put it simply, the whole purpose of a kensai is that they are trained to fight with no armor, so no, you won't find any "special" kensai armor around. Just give him killer weapons he won't need armor anyway
