I have a question 4 all of u um what do u all think is the best class. I know there can't be the best of em all. The only best one I know is a very strong fighter that knows as much spells as a mage. Even though there is no such thing. That would be kool if that classs was availiable. O below is a spoiler i suggest u don't read any further unlesss you did Valygars task! Since I am a sorceror LAVOK gave ME HIS SPHERE MWAHAHA..... Just wanted 2 tell u that and 1 more question! Is Icewind Dale better than Dialbo 2? I don't know which one 2 buy. It is splitting my head apart just like a racoon splits a coconut in half. Woops I mean a Nevermind MWAHAHAHA (WEEZE) (Cough) (I am getting 2 young for this)

My favorite class is actually a monk! Why? He gets an AC around -12 to -15 and magic resistance of up to around 55% to 60% (awesome), by the end of the game, gets +3 fists (+4 in TOB) and attacks much faster than fighters unless they have haste or speed oil. The monk also doesn't use armor so you can save that for fighter NPCs. Finally, he has quivering palm which normally kills everything but really high level bosses in one hit.

Same here!
Next to the Sorcerer, that is. The Sorcerer is like a regular mage, only this one doesn't have to memorize spells from a scroll but just "gets" them when he levels up. And he just gets a number of level X spells he's able to cast every turn, which basically means that at a certain point in the game with the level cap removed your Sorcerer would be able to cast 6 Imprisonments without blinking.

The Cavalier is the best class by far, IMO.
Basicly because of the fact that they are totally immune to Fear and Poison, they are 20% resistant to Fire and Acid, they get good bonuses fighting Demons and Dragons, they are Paladins, and they can wield the most powerful weapon in the game.

as for the question for icewind dale 2 or diablo 2.. diablo 2 and bg are VERY different games. IN diablo 2, every class gets spells, and stuff. You dont have "charges" of spells, you have mana. You can get 1 new skills whenever you lvl (max lvl is 99) and u get 5 stat points. U can divide the stat points however u wants amoung health, mana, strength, dex, etc. Your skills can get up to lvl 20, so if you really like a skill you can get it to lvl 20. You dont have the freedom of picking chars like u do in bg, they have like 6 classes. like the barbarian is a male, and all barbs look the same. , plus, its more of a beat the shit ouf of everyone game with no real dialogue which is very diff from bg. The good thing is area of effect spells dont hurt your party. O, and you dont have a permanent party. If you play single player you ONLY play with your self or maybe a mercenary is you pay for one. The multiplayer online is free, you group with people. ::whew:: that was a lot lol. I have like a lvl 77 sorceress but i got bored of it so now im on bg hehe

Cavaliers, Sorcerers, and Monks are really good. Dwarven Barbarians have average saving throws of about -4, which is fun, too. However, Bards are greatly underestimated. I wouldn't call them the most powerful by far, but they are better than most people give them credit for.
