13 or 15 lvl
1) 13lvl - kensai get spechial bonuses 2) 15 lvl - additional weapon "star" for kensai (or fighter) Recommend first, because 15 lvl is too long for waiting |

Okay, I'm confused (as usual, but this time, it#s worse).
What special bonus does the Kensai get at level 13? I thought he gets them at level 12. |

kensai -
every 3 levels gets "-1" to AC (1 lvl +3 = 4; 4lvl + 3 = 7; etc... 10, 13 lvl) every 3 levels gets "+1" to hit and "+1" to damage (the same) monk - every 3 levels +1 attack/round - 1 to AC every 2 levels 13 levels can kill his enemy by one strike but we are speaking about kensai |

The main reason to dual at lvl13 is because all Warrior-type classes get an additional 1/2 attack.
The Kensai does NOT gain better AC at higher levels. The Kensai starts off with a base AC of normally it is 10), and it stays that way. The Monk's AC is improved as the Monk levels up. The Kensai gains his abilities at lvl3, lvl6, lvl9, etc... NOT lvl1, lvl4, lvl7, lvl10, etc... These abilities include a +1 to damage and THACO bonus. The Kensai gains a speed improvement factor of -1 and a Kai ability at every four levels. The Kensai starts off with one Kai ability, and gains an additional one at lvl4, lvl8, etc... ... However, I only recommend lvl13 if you have ToB installed( higher EXP cap). If you only have SoA, then the traditional transition is at lvl9. Now we are speaking about the Kensai... ... |
