OK, got the game installed, created a character, no problem. But now when the game starts, I can't really see anything at all and the pop up windows never go away. Even when you click the choice on there, a shadow of them stays around. I've tried turning off or down everything I've read on here to do (water reflections, refractions, etc) and I took the minimum requirements test and passed it. The game isn't locked up, I just can't really do anything. Any suggestions, o learned masses? Thanks a lot.

Can you give us your current system specs? I.E., motherboard, video card, sound card, amount of RAM, CPU. Many people have mid to high end systems that are having difficulties as well.

Also, I highly recommend doing the following: 1) Uninstall the game, 2) run spyware and antivirus scans, 3) clean history, and 4) defrag your harddrive. Then reinstall the game. Let us know.

You might also consider defragging AFTER the installation as well. I found the installation to be horribly fragmented - which surprised me.

Now that is interesting. I have never heard of needing to do this and I have never had to defrag after installing a game ever.

OK, here's stats as I know them:

Pentium 4 3.2 GHz
Windows XP, 1 GB RAM
9800XT ATI Radeon 256MB
Does Audigy Audio sounds like something sound-esque?

I'll try the defrag thingy now. Thanks in advance. Here's hoping!

I would guess you might want another gig of RAM. Also, did you run spyware and virus scans as well? And, yes, Audigy is definitly "sound-esque."

1 gig would be fine for this game really. The main bottleneck is the video card (particularly with lighting in this game). And fragmentation wouldn't cause the kind of video corruption he's experiencing. I'd check for overheating, update your drivers etc.

Don't expect miracles with that card though, since many who have brand new models are having performance issues.

Poor coding, poor coding, poor coding -- this is what it all boils down to. Something is wrong when even high end rigs are having serious issues running this game; andthen we have lower end ones not having as many. Who can figure it...
