Have you ever had to read a book for school that was actually good, and didn't have to do with some sort of raisism. Some books I've read for school are Diary of Ann Frank, How to kill a mockingbird, and a few others. Mockingbird was pretty good, but it had raisism. If you can name one a school has made you read that doesn't have raisism and is good,(can't be a short story, just novels) plz reply.

Animal Farm was a good one. As well all works of the swedish authors Jan Gulliou and August Strindberg.

oops, forgot "A Christmas Carol" if you can overlook the fact that many people think Ebeneezer Scrooge is a Jew

"Catcher in the Rye"...J.D. Salinger
"The Grapes of Wrath"...John Steinbeck "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes"...Anita Loos "Lord of the Flies"...William Golding "Atlas Shrugged"...Ayn Rand "We Have Always Lived In The Castle"...Shirley Jackson "Cheaper by the Dozen"...Frank and Lilian Gilbreth "Roots"...Alex Haley (some racism, but a fantastic story of reuniting with one's past) "Watership Down"...Richard Adams (not necessarily a "kid's book"...some important social and political themes detailed) "Life With Father"...Clarence Day "Sense and Sensibility"...Jane Austen "Howard's End"...E.M. Forster "Mama's Bank Account"...Kathryn Forbes "Wuthering Heights"...Emily Bronte "Jane Eyre"...Charlotte Bronte These are just a few I can think of off the top of my head right now. Cheers,

I was introduced to Dune for my freshman year.
I liked it so much, the teacher let me keep it!
