I really loved this stuff:

PREAMBLE
Music & Lyrics: Lynn Ahrens
Sung by: Lynn Ahrens

Hey, do you know about the U.S.A.?
Do you know about the government?
Can you tell me 'bout the Constitution?
Hey, learn about the U.S.A.

In 1787, I'm told,
Our founding fathers did agree,
To write a list of principles
For keepin' people free.
The U.S.A. was just starting out,
A bold, brand new country.
And so our people spelled it out:
The things that we should be.

We the people,
In order to form a more perfect union,
Establish justice,
Ensure domestic tranquility,
Provide for the common defense,
Promote the general welfare and
Secure the blessings of liberty
To ourselves and our posterity,
Do ordain and establish this Constitution,
For the United States of America.

In 1787, I'm told,
Our founding fathers all sat down
And wrote a list of principles
That's know the world around.
The U.S.A. was just starting out,
A bold, brand new country.
And so our people spelled it out,
They wanted a land of liberty.

We the people,
In order to form a more perfect union,
Establish justice,
Ensure domestic tranquility,
Provide for the common defense,
Promote the general welfare and
Secure the blessings of liberty
To ourselves and our posterity,
Do ordain and establish this Constitution,
For the United States of America.

For the United States of America.

Good grief - it seems that some of you have really good memories about this kind of stuff, but it would be a nightmare as far as I'm concerned.

We didn't get anything really like this, but we did have public information cartoons - any brits remember that cat - I think he was called Charlie - who used to warn about the dangers of sticking your finger in the electic socket? Or flying a kite too close to power lines? *shudder* I was mentally scarred by some of those.

Sorry, I don't know about the new series. Is it going to have
most of the old superheroes? I used to love them. The Flintstones
the Jetsons.

Hope the Green Lantern makes an appearance, as well as The Wonder
Twins.

No Wonder Twins, this is going to be a more serious version featuring:

Superman
Wonder Woman
Batman
Green Lantern ( not Hal Jordan, I guess the current guy )
Flash ( not Barry, but the former Kid Flash, right? )
Martian Manhunter

Check out this weeks TV Guide. It's not the cover story, but it's pretty interesting, or maybe try Cartoon Networks website.
