That's the official BG2 patch (english or international version), it fixed many bugs in the game and made some adjustments.

I predict some serious deminishing returns for the monk class in the expansion. At level 20, my monk is within the exp cap and is already a demigod. I find the patch changes insignificant. He does more damage than a warrior with the best weapons in the game, usually doesn't take any damage, most spells don't effect him because of the insane MR(anyone else find it odd a high level monk is a better wizard slayer than a high level wizard slayer?), kills nearly efficiently as a wizard on full blast, and doesn't ever have to rest to do it. In short they have everybody's cake and eat it too. It will be interesting to see how the developers try to balance everything out with the new cap.

At least somebody finally appreciates Monks, they can kill anyone. Hint(they are indistructable with Cloak of Mirroring and Gauntlates of crushing which give +4 damage, +4 to hit and +4 ThacO) notthat they need it

Kensai/Thief can do more damage than any other class do....
I see this '***** did 196 damage to Firkraag.' (of cause with backstap) [This message has been edited by Masutarim (edited 04-03-2001).] |
