Default In a world which...won't be quite the same

Quote:
Don LaFontaine
Voiceover artist known as Thunder Throat whose distinctive tones trailed film and television attractions, has died.

LaFontaine: he reputedly voiced up to 60 promotions a week, and sometimes 35 in a single day

Don LaFontaine, who died on Monday aged 68, was known as the "King of Voiceovers," recording more than 5,000 film trailers, television commercials, network and video game promotions.
I guess the voiceovers just won't be the same anymore, now I'm sad.

LOL! Love that "I can't just use the voice. I can't walk into a store and go 'I'd like a can of peas, please'... I'd get thrown out!"

Is James Earl Jones still around? If he is I think he could pull it off.

Liam Neeson, I think, could also do pretty well.

Yup, both are still around and both are good choices. I seem to hear Morgan Freeman on a lot of stuff as well.

Aw, that's a big loss to the industry.
