This has probably been done before, but I'm sure it's good for another go. Anyway, I feel I should contribute something before I disappear to bed.

So...

You know you've been playing RPGs (esp BG2) too much when;
  • you pause when you enter a room, because you are waiting for the autosave.
  • you are supprised that when you visit somewhere new you can see more
    than 30 meters.
  • you calculate how many xps your pets are worth.
  • or you start thinking of your cat as your familiar.
  • you try to forge random items together in the hope that they will form an
all powerful kitchen utensil special properties.
  • you try to work out what these properties are.
  • you refer to your chair as 'my trusty stead'.
  • it's Wednesday and you thought it was last Sunday.
  • you start talking gibberish, because you might accidently cast a spell.
(anyone remember SuperTed and his magic word - I used to try it with that).
  • Your housemates start being able to quote Minsc (from BG2), because
they hear it so much (this also happened to me).
There's a start, but I'm sure everyone will think of funnier ones.

"it's Wednesday and you thought it was last Sunday"....Oh! I am Oh SOOOO Guilty of that one!

How about when you dream you are playing and you wake up, turn on the PC and wonder where all the new and useful items you found went and why your guys are not three levels stronger?

You know you've been playing BGII too much when:

You open your purse (thinking it a bag of holding) into the sunlight and think "OH No!! I forgot!! All my drow equipment is ashes now!!)

Also when you go into the grocery store, you ask the cashier "How many gold pieces will that be aye?"

(Help me the people at Safeway think I'm strange now. They all run when they see me. I swear I didn't do anything but ask if they had any dwarven ale, what's so strange about that?.... aye???...again, help me....)

When you identify an item and think, "Oh, joy, yet another +5 Longsword of Phase Shifting..."

  • you look for the circle around peoples feet, just in case they might attack you.

  • you wake up after a funny dream you try to test out your new found powers.

  • you are scared to go into your basement because there could be a lich hiding in one of the boxes.
  •
