I Can't talk to Larrel!

HELP!In the Severed Hand I do everything Im supposed to, but when I click on Larrel to talk to him, nothing happens. What should I do?

When you say that you have done everything, do you mean that you have the machine thing running

Do you have the latest patch installed

Some others have had this same problem, even though they completed all the above...but I gotta start somewhere...

I got all the machine parts and the machine looks like its running, I have the patch too.

OK...I have basically read every post in here(archived) about Larrel not talking, and everyone that had the problem did not post on how they fixed it.
Bummer.
The one single best adise I read, I shall quote it below...

Did you give all 4 pieces of the machine part to larrel's associate standing next to him? I know this isn't much help but you said it looks like it's running when you know it's running if you gave that guy all the pieces.

Some people in previous posts suggested that there were five pieces instead of four, but I do not remember...
