Help when ever i click on a treasure chest my game freezes and crashes, help!!!!

Need some details, Dude, before an answer can be available. What operating system, what version of the game (patched/unpatched), where exactly are you (chests in the wild in Valeia? In the crypt?)

Have you checked the Technical Answers to Problems and Questions in W&W? That has lots of details about taking care of numerous crashes. I don't remember if this is in there or not, but it's worth a look.

Give more input, get more answers.

Have you extracted all the video files with virtualdub? If the chest is sufficiently potent, trying to open it could be tripping a death movie, which could be crashing you. Or is it when you just try to access the chest so you can decide to lockpick it or not?

Was there anything special or unique about your install? Reinstalling may take care of the problem (after saving your... roster.dat and savegam.dat files, IIRC -- Radek or Willow will probably correct me).

Do you have sufficient virtual memory? Look for around 2-3 times the physical memory.

This is in the tech thread altohugh I really must fix these entries in the index. There is a fix for this as well. Go to your short cut for W&W, either in start menu or on the desk top. If you don´t have a short cut you need to create one, linking it to the 'deep6.exe' file in your W&W directory. Then right click your short cut and choose properties. Slelect the 'compatibility' tab and check the box 'Run in compatibility mode' and select 'Windows 95 compatibility layer'. This should fix your problem although the game still might crash now and then so save, and save often. If you don´t have a compatibility tab you need to do the following:
1) Select run and then type 'regsvr32 %systemroot%\apppatch\slayerui.dll' then click ok. You will get a box saying something has been modified in the registry.
2) Restart your computer. If you don´t you will miss out on all NPC speech.
3) You will now have a compatibility tab when selecting properties on your W&W short cut.
