EDIT: Will bringing along a second character ruin the experience? Hmmm, you are asking someone who thinks "traveling light" means a 5 person party. Is a MC F/C/M allowed? I think it is. With those hideous mountains of XP piling up, a triple class should fare quite well. If you only pick two classes, though, I think your C/M is an excellent choice.

At the level she has jumped to, being able to fight effectively is not a problem with all the spells she has. Plus, with a +4 warhammer and all the second best armor (elven chain), she can fight fairly well in a pinch. Haste and Righteous Wrath of the Faithful eliminates the APR dilemma.
