... and then, I will finally be leaving on a, if I may say so myself, well-deserved holiday. And dammit I'm looking forward to it!! Two weeks of sundrenched Greece: swimming, sunbathing, eating, drinking with a good friend of mine... I'm pretty excited - I've never booked a holiday like this before... when summer arrives, many people I know go "hmm, where shall we go this year?". As a student I'm not really in a position to do the same thing, but this year, I just thought, ah **** it, I'm gonna go and when I return I'll find out whether I will have to spend the rest of the year scrubbing floors or not. The downside is that I probably WILL be spending the remainder of my holidays up to my elbows in some toilet working my ass off, because MY, do I have a cash flow problem. But I don't care, I'm going to Greece! Whooo! I'm also very thankful we won't be having Holland-Greece Euro finals this year, I would've been lynched.
Anyway, I'm leaving on Monday - see you all in two weeks. Oh and to make you all envious here is a site with some pics of the village where I'll be staying: http://www.angelfire.com/me4/greekis...iapelagia.html And a pic!

Some people have all the luck in the world... And then there are people like you, who don't have things handed to them on a golden plate. I don't know that many people who deserve a vacation more than you do, Sarah! Enjoy your time there.

Awww, sweetie.
Thanks Maarten. Next year, you should go somewhere too! God knows you work enough hours for it... Oh, and when I'm back, let me know when you're up for a maniacal book-shopping spree. |

Nice I've been to Greece three times, and I've got to say I enjoyed it immensely. If you want culture, it's got it. If you want natural splendour, it's got that as well (see Nissiros for example.)
However, if what you really want to do is chill out and enjoy a stress-free sun, sea and sand kind of break then it's ideal. Have a great time - you deserve it
