I have read The Butlerian Jihad and The Machine Crusade and thought that both books were quite good. I'm looking forward to when I can get my hands on to The Battle of Corrin. Without spoiling too much I liked the fact that these books as the original Frank Herbert ones aren't so previsible at times and you get a few surprises while reading them.

*nods* I like that they are written primarily using Frank Herberts notes about the pre-dune worlds and offer insights and character that you don't see a whole lot of (like the Baron's reason for being so grotesque in Dune)
