RudeDawg, haven't been reading back, but is your DVD player in your PC, or is it a standalone player?

Just moved, and never felt the need of owning my own TV. I d/l SouthPark, Futurama, Simpsons, and Family Guy. I stream the CNN news, as well as other news channels. And I have an extensive DVD collection. 'Sides, my Trinitron monitor is SO much sharper than the standalone sets I've seen. UNLESS, I go REALLY HD, then I can't justify spending the money. just my $0.02 ------------------ The RudeDawg Known in these Forgotten Realms as Perin LightEyes and my girlfriends, Pamila and Phil |

Yeah I've got a Trinitron based monitor too, I was wondering 'cos I have a DVD ROM but no decoding/play-back software, any suggestions on which is best?

you guys check out power dvd. it has pretty good reports. i use a proprietary software made for my decoder card by sigma designs called real hollywood magic. but if i get a newer video card that will decode for me i may ditch the decoder and use power dvd.
