Keep stubborn RPC's from leaving your party!

Here is an easy way to keep RPC's in your party who tend to leave when entering certain areas.

I will use the example of Myles leaving when entering Marten's Bluff.

Requirements:
[*]At least one spellcaster must know Set Portal/Return to Portal.[/list]
    1. The first time in Marten's Bluff let Myles go (you will be able to get him again in Arnika).
    2. Once inside Marten's Bluff cast Set Portal.
    3. Go back to Arnika and get Myles.
    4. Cast Return to Portal.
    5. Voila! You are now inside Marten's Bluff WITH the cowardly Myles. He will complain every so often, but will not leave your group!

I've only done this with Myles, but it should theoretically work with any RPC.

I think it's just easier to run them till they fall unconcious.Takes less time, and some areas they don't like lead to another area they don't like, and it works on 2 npcs at a time.Running back to 2 locations to retrive both npcs would seem a pain.

When I first took Vi to Rapax Rift (almost by mistake, I transported from the T'Rang 4-pos teleporter early) she complained loudly and often. I won a few battles, noticed she didn't fight quite as well, and checked her stats. Most of her vitals were way down. They didn't bounce back til we left the area. I wonder if this happens with other NPCs who "don't want to go there" in other places, too???

Please delete one of those last two replies, had an error message and thought the first reply didn't "take"...
