Is it just me or is there a lot of Darkstone in NWN? The two person party, the 3-d, the inventory graphically laid out (which makes a LOT more sense than petending that a suit of plate mail takes up the same amount of room as a silver ring.) Thank God they left out the annoying parts, like your equipment getting damaged or (most of all) having to feed your characters.

Now that you mention it, yes it does have similarities to Darkstone. Just way more indepth quest wise (in Darkstone it was mostly a fetch and return scenario with various objects mostly). But being able to spin your views around and zoom in and zoom out are very much like Darkstone, just like when you talk to a person the camera automatically zooms in. And yes, one henchman too, although in Darkstone you could equip them and control them much better than in NWNs.
And oh man, I HATE the "feed" thing in games, it is just annoying to me. Remember many times in Darkstone at the food merchant debating "should I buy the drumstick or the watermelon"? |
