Anyone see the landing of the JetBlue plane with the busted nose gear? As a frequent flier, it gave me a new kind of fear to learn to try to disregard, but I'll confess that I was amazed at how well the pilot landed the plane... smoothly, keeping the nose up as long as possible. Lost the tires and probably the bottom of the nose gear, but no real damage (apparent, at least) to the plane and more importantly, the passengers.
Bet it won't be long until that makes a Sunday night movie special...

Saw this live on CNN while I was helping my mum to turn on the sound as she accidentally muted it.

Saw a clip of it this morning! That pilot did a fantastic job of a very tough landing! So glad to see that everyone got out ok.
I heard that the pilot is one of those who TRAINS others in safety procedures... darned lucky group of passengers (and anyone on their flight path) that he was!

Well, a good result, but there goes Jet Blue's record. Southwest is still at 100%.

Which record? Not having an accident, or not having a crash? Or something else?
