The level ascents in the game are a real pain in the ass! Mostly 1 points are assigned and I have to repeat the procedure again and again to get some satisfying hit points. Are there any cheats available to circumvent this annoying fact???

i have read somewhere that skills and hp are not determined just by "rolling a dice". after several role ascensions the hp/sp gains get more and more ballanced.

Welcome to the board
Here's the deal: Don't Reroll on Level assent. The following is extremely simplified... This is the one thing you need to learn. HP is a product of many factors. The most prominant seem to be the role, clan and level (with fortitude to a minimal extent). This means that for a given level, you character should have a certain number of HP. When you gain a level, the program computes to see where you fit in there. If you're above the line, you only gain 1 HP. If you're below the line you gain more HP to bring you to the line or higher. Yes, the line is partly (very very very partly) determined by the "rolling the dice". So, if you keep reloading, you can affect the end result. However, the odds are that you will not (I'd say about 1:500 that you will) Here's an exemple of how it works: An Elf, Male, Wizard: Each time you gain a level, you will gain a few (1-5) HP. That's the way it is. Wizards are wimps. After a while, let's say level 12, you're wizard is at 32HP. Then, you change to barbarian. Now, barbarian are entitle to alot of HP. At level 2 and 3, you only gain 1 HP... that's normal, how many fighters out there (let's use fighters 'cause you can start with them) are a 34 HP at level 3... not many. However, since you're a barbarian, you know that soon you will be crossing the magic line. Sure enough, at level 4, you gain 7 HP and it keeps going like that. By the time you get to lvl 7 you'd have 95 HP. Then you change to warlock... you'll be getting 1 HP 'til about level 35! You'll see that sometimes you'll gain like 15 HP but the next few levels, you'll only gain 1 or 2... that's because you're above the line. In the end, it all works out. Rule of Thumb: Don't reroll for HP, you reroll for Stats points (2 Minimum,3 Ideal). Now, if you want to have more HP, check around, there's a program that will give you 999 HP. Welcome to the board, Mascal!!!
Check out the Best Tips thread for ways to pump up your characters early in the game but as mentioned in the other replies, don't waste your time on constantly rerolling level ups hoping for better results. It will all work out in the long run! Wyv |

This can only be done once per game but every character can get 5exp by touching the totem pole outside the toad village and for a bigger boost, When you beat the boogre prison the two headed cyclops on the other side has a lamp. Choose "health is a weakness you'd like to improve" and three of you charaters can get 25exp. I hope this helps, also the idol of bongu in the boogre prison can raise your fortitude each time and you can boost that even over the 24 the other stats max at, so what little role it plays that may help.
